The tribulations of five youths start this film. Libreville is home to Mougler and his friends, Baby Lee, Joker, Jackson and Bezingo. The boys are left to fend for themselves and decide to rob a dôlé stand, a new game of chance in which you can become a millionaire. The stakes are high and so is the risk. But Mougler who is more and more worried by his sick mother’s condition decides to go ahead with the holdup.

<em>'Money'</em> is a decent Gabonese flick. No-one really sticks out acting-wise, though everyone in that department is satisfactory, to be fair. David N’Guema-N’Koghe naturally, as the lead actor, is the most noteworthy onscreen, his character comes across as intended. The story holds interest, I wouldn't label it as an entertaining film but as a slice of life sorta thing with Mougler and his friends it is suitably watchable. It is quite interesting how the film portrays the kids as adults, most notably when it comes to the love triangle at the bar. The conclusion is touching, it's always pleasing when a film manages to make you feel something. Another positive that this movie has is the fact that it is told across only 76 short minutes, meaning events never grind to a halt; even if the pacing isn't perfect.
