Do Dooni Chaar (2010)

The first film of Disney's venture into India. It's a solid debut. <em>'Do Dooni Chaar'</em> features a fairly amusing, hearty and largely enjoyable premise. It's pretty much a social commentary on teaching and life on a budget. I don't think it nails the mix of seriousness and fun incredibly, but there's no doubt it still connects on a good level. Rishi Kapoor is suitably entertaining in the lead role of Santosh, he is easily the star of this film. His real life wife Neetu Singh (Kusum), Aditi Vasudev (Payal) and Archit Krishna (Sandy) play his family members well. It's a decent cast. The ending is a little questionable in its execution, though I get what they were attempting to do with it. The pacing isn't perfect either. Still, thanks to its message and heart, it's a production I had a positive time watching. Mid range Disney.
