Fifteen months have passed since the tragedy of Svárta Sand and the shock is still heavy on the townspeople of Glerársand. A murder a short time later reminds them that evil thrives on silence. An investigation reveals a cover-up of cases that have resulted in broken hearts, violence, neglect and ultimately mass murder. All these cases are related to Anita's family and now threaten to shatter her hope for a normal life.
