In the infinite struggle to be cool the boy and his 'Dudes' go to the mall where he meets a girl. They go out on their first date,which doesn't start promising. Jeff wants to run for class president, but realizes it’s actually a popularity race. Jeff (the son) decides to run for class president. He struggles with the reality of politics and fake popularity.

The Anyfamily is forced to work for a living to save the treasured TV. Mom seems to get zero respect throughout the struggle. The family falls on hard times when the economy goes downhill.
